DOH: PH health workers infected with COVID-19 rise to 2,245

As of May 15, a total of 2,245 health care workers have tested positive for COVID-19 in the Philippines.

Of these cases, 779 health care workers have recovered and 35 have died since the start of the pandemic.

The number of active cases stands at 1,431 with majority experiencing mild symptoms (71.77%) or being asymptomatic (27.81%).

Health Undersecretary Maria Rosario Vergeire noted a decline in new infections among health care workers since the peak on April 11.
