Philippines ramps up vaccination, targets 1M jabs daily

The Philippines has increased its daily average vaccination rate to 550,000 doses in August, up from 320,000 in July.

As of Aug. 12, over 26.6 million Filipinos have received at least one dose of the vaccine, with 17.19% fully vaccinated.

The government aims to vaccinate up to 1 million people daily and fully vaccinate half of NCR's population by month-end.

New Sinovac supplies and donated vaccines from UAE will be prioritized for areas under ECQ or experiencing a spike in cases.
