Philippines expects six million COVID-19 vax doses this week

The Philippines is expecting to receive approximately six million doses of COVID-19 vaccines this week, including four million Sinovac doses from government procurement, one million Sinopharm doses as a Chinese donation, 594,000 AstraZeneca doses purchased by the private sector, and between 400,000 to 500,000 Moderna doses.

NTF chief Secretary Carlito Galvez Jr. reported that the government is renegotiating with manufacturers to increase monthly vaccine deliveries to meet the country's requirement of 25 million doses per month, up from an initial 19 million doses.
