NorthPort beats Terrafirma 113-101, NLEX wins over Blackwater 107-95

NorthPort defeated Terrafirma, 113-101, and NLEX triumphed over Blackwater, 107-95, on Saturday in the PBA Season 49 Commissioner's Cup at Ynares Center in Antipolo City.

Arvin Tolentino led NorthPort with a triple-double of 21 points, 13 rebounds, and 10 assists, while Kadeem Jack contributed significantly with 32 points and 15 rebounds.

NorthPort established an early lead with Terrafirma's Christian Standhardinger absent, maintaining their advantage despite the Dyip's late-game efforts led by Vic Manuel and Mark Nonoy to secure a 2-0 start in the season.

Meanwhile, NLEX leaned on Robert Bolick's 23-point performance and Mike Watkins' dominating presence inside for their win over Blackwater, who fell to a 0-2 record despite George King scoring 40 points.

Assistant coach Rensy Bajar expressed optimism about NorthPort's team chemistry and playoff potential, noting that they still have room for improvement despite their strong start.
