Nograles: Duterte tested negative for COVID-19

President Rodrigo Duterte tested negative for COVID-19, according to Acting Presidential Spokesperson Karlo Nograles on Tuesday.

Nograles clarified this after lawyer Victor Rodriguez, spokesperson of presidential aspirant Ferdinand Marcos Jr., suggested that Duterte might have contracted the virus.

Rodriguez had claimed they were unable to reach Duterte because he was positive for COVID-19, but all of Duterte's tests came back negative 'not detected'.

Duterte was put in quarantine after being exposed to a household staff member who tested positive on January 28, with his isolation ending February 3.
