Philippine hospitals hit full COVID-19 bed capacity

Several hospitals across the Philippines have reached full capacity for COVID-19 beds, including The Medical City, St. Luke's Medical Center branches, Makati Medical Center, and nine others.

The DOH reported that 96 of the 125 COVID-19 beds at the Lung Center of the Philippines are occupied, with isolation rooms and ICUs also full.

Despite these shortages, Malacañang assured there are enough hospital beds for patients, though some hospitals have reached ICU capacity and are redirecting critically ill cases to other facilities.
