PSG may block PRRD from being first vaccine recipient

The Presidential Security Group (PSG) on Wednesday stated they will allow President Rodrigo Duterte to be inoculated with a Russian coronavirus vaccine if it receives approval from the Food and Drug Administration (FDA).

Despite Duterte volunteering to be the first recipient, Palace spokesperson Harry Roque noted that PSG might not permit him to do so due to security concerns.

Roque emphasized that PSG's primary role is to ensure the President's safety, even limiting his free will in certain situations.
