NLEX wins third straight game, beats Blackwater 80-72

NLEX secured its third straight victory in the PBA Philippine Cup with an 80-72 win over Blackwater on Friday at the newly opened Ynares Center Montalban.

Robert Bolick led NLEX with a game-high 20 points, seven rebounds, six assists, and a steal, while teammate JB Bahio contributed 12 points, eight rebounds, three assists, and a steal.

Despite trailing by just one point early in the fourth quarter, NLEX pulled away with a pivotal 9-0 run to take control of the game before Bolick sealed the win with eight of the last 12 points.

BJ Andrade scored 15 points but could not prevent Blackwater from falling to a 1-3 record in the conference, while RK Ilagan and Bradwyn Guinto added 14 and 13 points respectively.

Kevin Alas and Dominic Fajardo each contributed 10 points as NLEX improved to 3-1 and will face Barangay Ginebra next Wednesday at the Ninoy Aquino Stadium.
