NLEX wins fifth straight in PBA Philippine Cup, rookie Ramirez leads with 21 points

NLEX secured its fifth consecutive victory in the PBA Philippine Cup on Wednesday, May 14, with a decisive 117-87 win over Terrafirma at Ninoy Aquino Stadium.

Despite suffering from a dislocated jaw, rookie Brandon Ramirez led NLEX with a career-high 21 points, four rebounds, and one steal, contributing significantly to their longest winning streak in the All-Filipino tournament history.

NLEX head coach Jong Uichico praised Ramirez's dedication and willingness to learn, noting his consistent improvement throughout the conference.

Terrafirma struggled despite Kevin Ferrer’s game-high 23 points; this was Terrafirma's fourth loss by at least 30 points in the conference, dropping them to a record of 1-6.

NLEX will now take time to recharge their batteries before facing two tough opponents: the Converge FiberXers on May 23 and Meralco Bolts two days later.
