Muhlach shows texts refuting son’s alleged initiation with abusers

Actor Niño Muhlach revealed text messages between his son Sandro Muhlach and alleged abusers Jojo Nones and Richard Cruz during a Senate hearing on Monday.

Muhlach sought to debunk claims that it was Sandro who initiated contact with Nones, showing that Nones first messaged Sandro after the awards show.

The text exchange shows Nones inviting Sandro to his hotel room for alcohol, and Sandro eventually agreeing to visit despite initial hesitation due to being alone.

Sandro's legal counsel questioned why Nones' camp was implying in media reports that Sandro initiated contact first, while Nones and Cruz denied the allegations against them in a joint statement.

On Wednesday, Aug. 14, Niño publicly expressed support for his son, urging him to be strong during the ongoing investigation and sharing an article about senators seeing 'strong evidence' against the accused individuals.

Sandro has filed a complaint with the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) and is undergoing psychological assessment due to trauma and depression from the alleged abuse.
