9 streets closed in Manila for Sto. Niño Feast

Nine streets in Pandacan, Manila have been temporarily closed to prepare for the Feast of Sto. Niño scheduled on Sunday.

The road closures began at 7 a.m. Saturday as announced by the Manila Public Information Office (MPIO), affecting specific streets including Jesus St.-Palumpong St., Hilum St., Beata St., E. Zamora St., Laura St., Labores St., Narciso St., Industria St., and Teodoro San Luis St.

Re-routing measures are being implemented for vehicles coming from Mabini Bridge, Paco-Sta. Mesa Bridge, Paz M. Guazon St., and Dr. M.L. Carreon St. to accommodate the event.

The Feast of Sto. Niño, held every third Sunday in January, is a significant religious celebration where devotees bring their Sto. Niño statues to join processions.

Devotees honor the Holy Child Jesus through these traditional activities, making it an important day for communities in Tondo and Pandacan.
