Gomez emphasized his priorities include sharpening government messaging, improving media access, and combating misinformation while focusing on communicating President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.'s programs and policies effectively.

Unlike previous PCO chiefs who ordered incumbent officials to tender their courtesy resignations, Gomez intends to conduct a thorough performance audit before making any decisions about the current staff.

Gomez vowed to revisit previous communication strategies and continue the fight against disinformation while prioritizing press freedom and accelerating digital transformation within the agency.

Despite criticisms that the PCO has been ineffective in raising President Marcos Jr.'s popularity, Gomez remains undaunted and committed to serving the administration well.
