NegOcc adopts 'no referral, no admission' policy for COVID cases

The Negros Occidental provincial government has adopted a 'no referral, no admission' policy for COVID-19 cases due to recent spikes in local infections.

Provincial Administrator Rayfrando Diaz II directed health officials to coordinate all patient referrals through the One Hospital Command System (OHCS) to avoid walk-ins and overcrowding at hospital triage and emergency rooms.

Four out of seven hospitals in Bacolod have stopped accepting new COVID-19 patients, with some citing infections among medical staff as a reason for limited capacity.
