Bacolod hospitals shut down due to staff infections, oxygen shortages

Bacolod City's hospitals are grappling with full COVID-19 wards, staff infections, and oxygen supply shortages, leading to temporary halts in health services.

The Department of Health Western Visayas reported new Delta variant cases on September 13, including 12 in Iloilo province, 9 in Bacolod, and 8 in Negros Occidental.

Bacolod's positivity rate surged to 37%, with more than one in three people testing positive for COVID-19, prompting the city to order rapid antigen tests for inbound travelers and symptomatic residents.
