Anakpawis chair Echanis laid to rest

Anakpawis chair Randall 'Ka Randy' Echanis was laid to rest on Monday at Loyola Memorial Park in Marikina City.

A mass was held for him at La Funeraria Paz, Quezon City, followed by a funeral procession that turned into a protest march demanding justice.

Echanis, known for his work on agrarian reform and as a political consultant for the NDFP, was killed along with former prisoner Louie Tagapia early Monday morning, August 10, inside his apartment in Novaliches, Quezon City.

He is the fourth NDFP political consultant to be assassinated since Sotero Llamas, Randy Malayao, and Julius Giron were killed previously.
