NCRPO seizes PHP1.5M worth of shabu in Taguig

Operatives from the National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) seized PHP1.5 million worth of shabu during a buy-bust operation in Taguig City on Monday night.

Two female suspects, alias 'Kar' and alias 'Miriam', were arrested along Jolo Street in Barangay Maharlika around 11:45 p.m. after a month-long surveillance by authorities.

The seizure included 225 grams of shabu, buy-bust money, and other non-drug evidence, with the suspects working part-time at a delivery company—one as a rider and the other repacking parcels.

Most of their buyers are public vehicle drivers in Taguig City, including construction workers, jeepney drivers, and tricycle drivers.

The seized drugs will be analyzed by the Southern Police District Forensic Unit, while both suspects are being held at the Taguig City police custodial facility and will face charges under Republic Act 9165 for drug violations.
