NCRPO reports drop in crimes, arrests thousands

The National Capital Regional Police Office (NCRPO) reported a 17.04% decrease in eight focus crimes from November 23, 2024 to March 2, 2025.

Crime incidents dropped to 1,524 from 1,837 compared to the same period last year, resulting in 313 fewer cases.

The police office also noted a Crime Clearance Efficiency rate of 98.82% and a Crime Solution Efficiency rate that increased by 3.44% to reach 72.24%.

From November 23, 2024 to March 2, 2025, the NCRPO arrested 3,721 individuals through manhunt and warrant operations.

The police force also reported making 4,028 arrests in 2,729 anti-illegal drug operations during this period, seizing drugs valued at P267.6 million.

Additionally, the campaign against illegal gambling resulted in the arrest of 7,695 individuals and the confiscation of P1.88 million in pot money.

The NCRPO also logged 662,150 violators of local ordinances, collecting P180.89 million in fines.
