PN personnel, guests ordered in quarantine after officer tests COVID-19 positive

Philippine Navy personnel and guests who attended the commissioning ceremony of the BRP Jose Rizal missile-frigate last week were ordered to self-quarantine after a Navy officer tested positive for COVID-19.

Vice Admiral Giovanni Carlo Bacordo, PN chief, has been in self-quarantine since Saturday and is awaiting his test results.

All crew members of the BRP Jose Rizal have undergone PCR testing; those who test positive will be isolated while others continue preparing for the RIMPAC exercise scheduled to start on July 29.
