Navotas police chief reassigned over teen's death

Navotas police chief Allan Umipig and 21 other officers have been reassigned following the death of 17-year-old Jerhode Jhemboy Baltazar on August 2.

Umipig was relieved of his post and faces administrative charges for dishonesty and command responsibility, along with 11 other officers involved in the incident.

The PNP-IAS recommended filing administrative charges against Umipig and the 11 officers found to have committed operational lapses leading to Baltazar’s death.
