Marikina sets indemnification fund for vaccine injuries

Marikina City has established a local indemnification fund to assist residents who suffer severe injuries or adverse effects from COVID-19 vaccines.

The city government is also setting up a post-care monitoring system for those receiving vaccinations.

Mayor Marcelino Teodoro requested the national government to allocate enough vaccines for 70% of Marikina's population, based on the city’s epidemiological condition and limited budget.

National Task Force Against COVID-19 chief Carlito Galvez Jr. committed to providing the necessary vaccines for this target group.
