PAGASA issues thunderstorm advisory for Metro Manila, Bulacan, Rizal

Tuesday afternoon brought moderate to heavy rains with lightning and strong winds to parts of Metro Manila, Bulacan, and Rizal.

The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) issued a thunderstorm advisory at 2:05 p.m., warning that the weather conditions could persist for up to two hours in areas including Quezon City, Caloocan, Manila, San Jose del Monte, Santa Maria, Pandi, San Mateo, and Antipolo.

PAGASA also advised residents of Pampanga, Zambales, Quezon, Laguna, and Batangas to expect similar weather conditions within the next two to three hours.

The state weather bureau cautioned locals about potential flash floods and landslides due to heavy rainfall.

Residents in affected areas were urged to exercise caution and take necessary safety measures.
