Miss Universe Sheynnis Palacios charms Manila fans during visit

Reigning Miss Universe Sheynnis Palacios has charmed Filipino fans during her first visit to Manila, which began on May 1 and will end on May 7.

Palacios greeted guests in Filipino at a press conference at the Kao Manila club in Pasay City and expressed gratitude for the hospitality she received.

During her motorcade at SM Mall of Asia Complex on Sunday, Palacios was seen teary-eyed while hugging a Nicaraguan flag, moved by the support from fans.

The Nicaraguan beauty shared that her perception of Filipinos has changed positively due to their warmth and humility, enjoying local dishes such as halo-halo, beef mechado, lechon, and chicharon.

Palacios emphasized her desire to leave a legacy by helping women around the world and promoting inclusivity through the Miss Universe Organization (MUO), with this year's competition set to be the biggest ever with 120 confirmed participants.

Filipinos will have more opportunities to see Palacios in person during her motorcade at the Mall of Asia complex on May 5, where she arrived wearing a one-sleeved terno-inspired short dress.
