PVL MVP Gumabao has funeral-themed bridal shower, returns to win All-Filipino quarterfinals

Michele Gumabao, MVP of the PVL Invitational Conference, celebrated her bridal shower with an unconventional funeral-themed party and returned to action just two days after marrying longtime partner Aldo Panlilio.

Gumabao shared photos from both events on Instagram, thanking friends and family for making them memorable experiences.

At her wedding, Gumabao wore a white dress while guests dressed in black attire; at the funeral-themed party, she was among teammates who surprised her with a dance performance.

In the PVL All-Filipino quarterfinals, Gumabao helped Creamline Cool Smashers secure a 25-18, 25-17, 25-17 victory over Nxled with an efficient 7-of-15 attacking clip.

Gumabao expressed excitement for starting a new chapter in her life and building a family with the same values she was raised with, though focusing on careers for now.
