Metro Manila floods due to Typhoon Carina, SW monsoon

Several areas in Metro Manila were flooded on Thursday due to heavy rains caused by Typhoon Carina and the Southwest Monsoon.

As of Thursday morning, multiple roads remained impassable for light vehicles, including Ortigas Avenue Extension in Pasig City and Rizal Avenue Recto in Manila.

Flooded areas also included Valenzuela City with near BDO Dalandanan at 18 to 19 inches high flood and Wilcon - Cuevas Dalandanan at 25 to 26 inches, both impassable for all types of vehicles.

Other affected areas included Quezon City where NS Amoranto Brgy Sto. Domingo was above waist-high flood and Malabon City with Aquino Barangay Tonsuya knee-deep and not passable for light vehicles.

Local government units reported varying depths of flooding in Quezon City, Valenzuela, Manila, and Malabon affecting vehicle passage.
