Palace: Metro Manila ICU bed use below critical levels

The use rate of ICU beds for coronavirus patients in Metro Manila is below critical levels, according to presidential spokesperson Harry Roque.

Only 46% of isolation beds and 50% of ward beds in the regions are occupied, with about 48% of ventilators being used.

Roque previously suggested that the lockdown in Metro Manila could be eased by mid-May as infections decrease.

The national use rate for ICU beds is at 61%, while 42% of ventilators have been utilized.
