Medialdea discharged after heart surgery in Netherlands

Former executive secretary Salvador Medialdea was discharged from a hospital in The Hague, Netherlands on Saturday, March 22 following a successful heart procedure.

Senator Bong Go shared a Facebook post confirming that Medialdea had been hospitalized for several days and will have to remain in the Netherlands for six weeks before he can travel.

Go also expressed gratitude to Filipinos who prayed for Medialdea's recovery and urged them to continue doing so.

Medialdea was taken to the hospital on March 18 after being brought out of The Hague Penitentiary Institution on a stretcher while accompanying former President Rodrigo Duterte, who faces charges at the International Criminal Court (ICC) regarding killings linked to the drug war.

Senator Bong Go also renewed his call for prayers for Duterte's health and safety as well as his release from ICC custody.
