Marikina confirms 5 COVID-19 cases, buys test kits

Marikina City has confirmed five cases of COVID-19, all linked to an 86-year-old American man who traveled from the US through South Korea.

The city government approved the procurement of 3,000 test kits following these cases.

Mayor Marcelino Teodoro stated that the four new cases are relatives of the first case and show signs of recovery.

Classes in Marikina have been suspended for three days to allow for disinfection of schools and public places.
