Marcos calls for unity at PNPB amid typhoon impacts

President Ferdinand 'Bongbong' Marcos Jr. called on Filipinos to unite amid a spate of typhoons that have affected millions.

During his speech at the 49th Philippine National Prayer Breakfast (PNPB) held Monday in Malacañang, Marcos emphasized the importance of unity and faith in facing challenges.

The NDRRMC reports that tropical storms Nika, Ofel, and Pepito have impacted over 1.1 million individuals across several regions in the Philippines.

More than half a million people were forced to evacuate their homes due to these storms.

Marcos urged leaders to serve with conviction and divine wisdom, emphasizing that despite political and cultural divides, Filipinos should work together towards national progress and flourishing.

The President encouraged all present at the PNPB to recommit themselves to service imbued with faith and prayerful discernment in the spirit of unity and compassion.
