Marcos rejects term-sharing with Sara Duterte

Former senator Ferdinand 'Bongbong' Marcos Jr. stated he is not interested in term-sharing the presidency with Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte.

Marcos dismissed the proposal, saying it would not be beneficial for the country and that a constitutional amendment would be necessary.

The Comelec has issued summons regarding petitions to cancel Marcos' certificate of candidacy for president in 2022.

Despite legal challenges, Marcos said he will continue his campaign.

Sara Duterte's switch to Lakas-CMD on November 11 fueled speculation about a potential national run and prompted questions about term-sharing.
