Marcos prioritizes stable rice, corn supply for 2022

Marcos stressed during an executive meeting that Filipino families should have sufficient and affordable food, highlighting the importance of addressing the impending food crisis in the next two quarters.

He discussed with former DA chief William Dar's transition team strategies to secure adequate supplies amid current supply status and demand outlooks.

Marcos prioritized increasing domestic production of rice and corn and improving the agriculture value chain to address issues affecting livestock and ensuring effective transfer of surpluses.
