Marcos leads first Cabinet meeting, focuses on economy

On Tuesday, President Ferdinand 'Bongbong' Marcos Jr. held his first Cabinet meeting at Malacañang Palace, focusing on the country's current economic situation.

Marcos emphasized that addressing the economy is the most crucial area for his administration, especially with rising inflation and food prices.

During the meeting, Marcos asked his economic team to present an overview of the Philippine economy, including updates from Finance Secretary Benjamin Diokno, Socioeconomic Planning Secretary Arsenio Balisacan, and BSP Governor Felipe Medalla.

The Cabinet meeting was briefly live-streamed before being halted after 5 minutes, preventing the full presentation by the economic managers.
