Marcos appoints new officials to PCGG and other agencies

President Ferdinand 'Bongbong' Marcos Jr. has appointed former Court of Appeals Associate Justice Elihu Ybañez as a new commissioner of the Presidential Commission on Good Government (PCGG), which is tasked with recovering the ill-gotten wealth of the Marcos family and their associates.

Ybañez joins other presidential appointees, including retired Police Major General Eliseo Cruz who will serve as an assistant secretary in the Department of Justice.

The appointments also include several positions within agencies such as the Cultural Center of the Philippines, Bases Conversion and Development Authority John Hay Management Corporation, and various departments like Agriculture and Agrarian Reform.

Among the newly appointed officials are Ana Liza Duran at the Department of Health, Rosalio Aragon Jr. at the National Wages and Productivity Commission, and Aiza Perez-Mendoza at the Department of Social Welfare and Development.

Other notable appointments include Rear Admirals Allen Dalangin, Inocencio Rosario Jr., and Edgar Ybañez in the Philippine Coast Guard, as well as Jimmy Catanes, Mary Gunigundo, Lora Yusi, Marco Domingo, and Rody Garcia at the Commission on Higher Education.
