Marcos distributes P50M aid to 10K farmers, fishers in Camarines Sur, Albay

On Monday, President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. distributed financial aid to 4,000 farmers and fisherfolk affected by Severe Tropical Storm Kristine in Batangas province.

Later on Wednesday, the Office of the President extended P50 million in cash assistance to families, farmers, and fishermen in Camarines Sur and Albay, benefiting a total of 10,000 individuals who each received PHP10,000 under the AKAP program.

President Marcos assured beneficiaries during ceremonies at various locations that immediate aid would help them recover and emphasized the government's commitment to proactive disaster management strategies to minimize future impacts of climate change.

The President also provided over P50 million in financial assistance to 5,000 farmers and fishers in Albay province on Wednesday through the Presidential Assistance to Farmers, Fisherfolk, and Families (PAFF) program.

Beneficiaries expressed gratitude for the aid, which they said would help them purchase agricultural inputs and recover from storm damage; TESDA also provided PHP3.414 million in training support funds to 1,162 beneficiaries from Albay.
