Marcos distributes PHP277M in COCROMs to 6K agrarian reform beneficiaries

President Ferdinand 'Bongbong' R. Marcos Jr. led the distribution of Certificates of Condonation and Release of Mortgage (COCROMs) to 6,000 agrarian reform beneficiaries in Nueva Ecija on Friday during his birthday celebration.

These COCROMs represent a total debt relief of PHP277 million for more than 10,450 hectares of agricultural land across various municipalities in the province.

Marcos emphasized that the program aims to alleviate financial burdens and improve beneficiaries' future by freeing them from land-related debts.

The President also awarded PHP41 million worth of agri-credit checks to 480 ARBs representing 12 ARB organizations, further supporting their livelihoods.

The New Agrarian Emancipation Act continues to ease the lives of farmers and alleviate hardships caused by amortization, interest, and surcharges on farmland over time.

Marcos reminded beneficiaries that while COCROMs and financial support are gifts, they also come with responsibilities such as taking care of their lands and livelihood.
