Jesus Nazareno procession route announced for Jan 9

On Friday, January 3, 2025, authorities announced the route for the procession of Jesus Nazareno from Quirino Grandstand to Quiapo Church in Manila on January 9.

The traditional route will be followed this year as part of the Feast of Jesus Nazareno celebration, which includes a procession of the 400-year-old image of Christ over a distance of 5.8 kilometers.

Starting at Quirino Grandstand, the procession will pass through major streets such as Padre Burgos Street and Ayala Boulevard before reaching Quiapo Church, with key landmarks including Plaza del Carmen and Plaza Miranda.

Millions of devotees are anticipated to participate in this year's Traslacion, marking its return after a three-year hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

All roads along the route will be closed to vehicles except official ones until cleared by authorities, with stricter security measures implemented at Quiapo Church and entry points for pahalik.
