Mayors in Metro Manila get vaccinated against COVID-19

On Monday, several mayors in Metro Manila received their first doses of COVID-19 vaccines as part of the government's vaccination program.

Taguig City Mayor Lino Cayetano and Mandaluyong Mayor Menchie Abalos were among those vaccinated with Sinovac, while Pasay Mayor Emi Calixto-Rubiano received AstraZeneca.

The mayors expressed gratitude to President Duterte for allowing local chief executives in high-risk areas to be prioritized for vaccination.

Calixto-Rubiano emphasized the importance of this move as it allows them to continue serving their constituents without fear of infection.

Manila Mayor Isko Moreno is scheduled to receive his dose on Sunday, with vaccinations also open to individuals aged 18-59 years old with comorbidities.
