Manila RTC personnel ordered to quarantine until June 30

Manila Regional Trial Court (RTC) personnel have been ordered to go on self-quarantine until June 30 following possible exposure to COVID-19.

Executive Judge Virgilio Macaraig directed all judges and court employees stationed at the Manila City Hall to avoid contact with the public and conduct contact tracing of persons they may have interacted with in the past two weeks.

Two court employees had been in close contact with relatives who tested positive for COVID-19, prompting the self-quarantine order.

During this period, affected courts are advised to conduct hearings through video conferencing and accept pleadings and motions electronically.
