Archdioceses of Manila, Cebu organize vigils for Pope Francis's recovery

The Archdiocese of Manila and Cebu are organizing vigils and prayer activities for Pope Francis's recovery from double pneumonia.

Manila Archbishop Jose Cardinal Advincula invited Catholics to participate in a 'Holy Hour' at the Manila Cathedral on Friday, February 21, starting at 5 pm.

Cebu Archbishop Jose Palma is scheduled to lead a Eucharistic Vigil on Thursday night at the Martins of Lisieux Chapel in San Carlos Seminary College, Cebu City, from 10 pm until 6 am on Friday.

Advincula and Palma both emphasized the importance of personal and community prayers for Pope Francis's health and recovery.

The Vatican reported slight improvement in Pope Francis' blood tests, with his clinical conditions stable on his sixth day at the Rome Gemelli hospital.
