PAGASA warns of rain, flash floods across PH

Three weather systems are expected to bring rain over several different parts of the Philippines over the next 24 hours according to PAGASA.

Visayas, Albay, Sorsogon, Catanduanes, Masbate, and Dinagat Islands will experience cloudy skies with scattered rains and isolated thunderstorms due to a shear line, increasing the risk of flash floods or landslides from moderate rainfall.

The Northeast Monsoon (Amihan) will bring cloudy skies with rain over Cagayan Valley, Apayao, Aurora, Quezon, and the rest of Bicol Region, while Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon will see partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains.

Partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms are expected in other parts of the country due to easterlies, posing a risk for flash floods or landslides in some areas.

Strong winds and rough seas may be experienced over the eastern sections of Southern Luzon and Visayas, while moderate to strong winds and moderate to rough coastal water conditions will prevail in the rest of Luzon.

Elsewhere in the country, light to moderate winds with slight to moderate coastal waters are expected.
