LTO suspends licenses of six in illegal race

The Land Transportation Office (LTO) has suspended for 90 days the driver's licenses of six individuals involved in an illegal sports car race caught on video in Tagaytay City.

Transportation Secretary Vince Dizon emphasized that such irresponsible driving will not be tolerated, stressing the importance of road safety for all users and stating that any abuse on the road, regardless of vehicle type, can result in license suspension.

Show cause orders have been issued to the registered owners of two Mazda MX-5, a Ford Mustang, a Nissan Z, a Chevrolet Camaro, and a BMW M4, requiring them to explain their involvement in the incident.

The LTO will continue its investigation into the identities of the drivers and vehicle owners while maintaining its commitment to road safety and adherence to traffic regulations.
