Lyceum beats Arellano in NCAA women's volleyball semis

Lyceum of the Philippines University defeated Arellano University 25-17, 24-26, 25-20, 25-19 in the NCAA Season 99 women's volleyball stepladder semifinals on Sunday.

Janeth Tulang led Lyceum with a standout performance of 23 points, five blocks, 11 digs, and eight receptions, contributing significantly to their victory over Arellano.

Lyceum will face the third-seeded Letran Lady Knights in another knockout duel on Wednesday, with the winner advancing to the best-of-three finals against College of Saint Benilde starting May 19.

Coach Cromwel Garcia highlighted that his team used their previous three-game losing streak as motivation and focused solely on the present game.

Arellano's Fhaye Mangubat led her team with 12 attacks and one block, while Pauline De Guzman added 11 attacks and one ace.
