Tropical Depression Crising Weakens Into Low Pressure Area, Signals Lifted

Tropical Depression Crising has weakened into a low pressure area (LPA) on May 14, 2021, prompting PAGASA to lift all tropical cyclone wind signals.

The LPA is moving westward or northwestward towards the Sulu Sea and may bring light to moderate rain with at times heavy rain over parts of Mindanao.

Isolated flash flooding and rain-induced landslides are possible during heavy rainfall, especially in areas highly susceptible to these hazards.

Crising made landfall in Baganga, Davao Oriental on May 13, shortly after weakening from a tropical storm into a depression.

PAGASA reported that the LPA east of Davao City developed into Tropical Depression Crising and raised Signal No. 1 over parts of Mindanao and Surigao del Sur.
