LPA brings rain to Visayas, Mindanao

A low pressure area (LPA) entered the Philippine Area of Responsibility on Wednesday, March 4.

The LPA is affecting Eastern Visayas and Caraga with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms, while other parts of the Visayas and Mindanao have generally fair weather with isolated rainshowers.

As of Friday, March 6, the LPA is located 150 kilometers east northeast of General Santos City and is expected to cross Mindanao within the next 24 to 36 hours before dissipating over the Sulu Sea.

PAGASA warns that scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms are expected in Visayas and Mindanao on Friday, with possible flash floods and landslides.
