Duterte to test for COVID-19 before SONA

President Rodrigo Duterte is scheduled to undergo a COVID-19 swab test on Sunday, July 26, before his fifth State of the Nation Address (SONA) on Monday.

Cabinet Secretary Karlo Nograles confirmed that all attendees at the SONA will also be required to take RT-PCR tests.

House Deputy Secretary General for Administration Department Dr. Ramon Ricardo Roque stated that lawmakers and their staff must undergo both swab and rapid testing for COVID-19 on July 26 and 27, respectively.
