Rep Tiangco: Marcos admin's anti-inflation drive paying off

Navotas City lone district Rep. Toby Tiangco says the Marcos administration's direction is clear amid slowing inflation in the country.

Tiangco emphasized that President Ferdinand 'Bongbong' Marcos Jr.'s goal is to ensure Filipino families have access to affordable goods, stating no one will go hungry or be left behind.

The government reported a continued drop in inflation from 2.9 percent in January to 2.1 percent in February this year.

Tiangco highlighted the government's proactive interventions such as reducing the maximum suggested retail price for imported rice and enacting the Anti-Agricultural Economic Sabotage Act, which contributed to lowering inflation.

He urged various government agencies to sustain efforts to maintain stable prices of food and other commodities.

According to the Philippine Statistics Authority, lower food prices will help households allocate more funds for essential needs.
