Lassiter nears Alapag's three-point record

Marcio Lassiter surpassed Allan Caidic to become the second-highest scorer in PBA history for three-pointers and is just three shots away from breaking Jimmy Alapag's record.

Lassiter hit his 1,243rd career three-pointer during San Miguel Beer's 119-114 victory over NLEX on Wednesday, September 11, and added five more in a win against Phoenix on Friday to reach 1,248 treys.

CJ Perez led San Miguel with 24 points and five rebounds, while June Mar Fajardo contributed 17 points and nine rebounds in the latest victory.

Robert Bolick scored 24 points and recorded a career-high 15 assists for NLEX but was unable to secure another win against the Beermen.

San Miguel improved their record to 4-2 in Group B standings after turning what was once a nine-point deficit into a victory with a strong fourth-quarter performance.
