Lanao del Sur governor, town mayor test positive for COVID-19

Malabang town mayor Mohammad Yahya Macapodi and Lanao del Sur Governor Mamintal Adiong Jr both tested positive for COVID-19 on September 13.

Macapodi experienced mild symptoms and urged those who had direct contact with him to undergo a 14-day quarantine.

Adiong also announced his positive test result after being exposed to an infected individual, and ordered the shutdown of the capitol building for disinfection.

Both officials emphasized the importance of adhering to health protocols despite their own strict adherence to minimum health standards.
