Lacson: Campaign expenses, not ratings, behind shift

Senator Panfilo Lacson dismissed claims that his low poll rankings prompted Partido Reporma president Pantaleon Alvarez to switch support to Vice President Leni Robredo.

Lacson said the reason was more about campaign expenses, specifically Alvarez's request for P800 million in additional funding which he could not provide.

Alvarez denied asking for such funds and stated they can fund their own candidates.
