La Salle women's volleyball team starts title defense with 3-0 win

De La Salle University's women's volleyball team secured a decisive 3-0 victory over Adamson University on Saturday night, marking the start of their title defense in UAAP Season 86.

Coach Ramil De Jesus achieved his 300th career victory in the UAAP with this win after 27 seasons at the helm.

Angel Canino led La Salle's offensive efforts with 14 points and 11 successful attacks, demonstrating maturity and leadership in her second year with the team.

Despite missing several key players from last season, De Jesus emphasized focusing on each game individually, highlighting the importance of consistent performance in practice.

Canino expressed satisfaction with her contribution but stressed the need to work harder and address challenges one by one, noting that adjustments are still needed with new main setter Julia Coronel and libero Lyka De Leon.
