Kobe Shinwa beats Cignal 3-1, eyes Chery Tiggo in PVL semis

Kobe Shinwa University secured a four-set victory over Cignal with scores of 25-7, 25-18, 19-25, and 27-25 in the Premier Volleyball League (PVL) Invitational on Thursday at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.

Nagisa Komatsuda led Kobe Shinwa with 21 points from 19 attacks, a block, and an ace, while teammates Arisu Ishikawa and Kokoro Yasuma added 15 and 12 points respectively.

Roselyn Doria-Aquino had 16 points to lead Cignal, followed by Erika Santos with 11 points.

With the win, Kobe Shinwa improved their record to 3-1 and now faces Chery Tiggo on Friday for a spot in the finals against PLDT.

Kobe Shinwa's head coach Kiyokazu Yamamoto stated they will review videos of Chery Tiggo games to prepare for the match, with Cess Robles as their top concern.
